North Posey HS Internships – 2024

The CTE department of North Posy HS is a firm believer in the value of Internships for students who are going to pursue careers in the construction trades.  Here are this year’s interns for the 2023-204 school year.

 

Josh Dill

Josh took three years worth of Carpentry classes at North Posey HS and was chosen to work on projects like a Habitat for Humanity house plus he worked on two off-site construction projects last year.  Josh has been working half-days after school in the morning for Hinderliter Construction based in Evansville.  Josh intends to work full-time for Hinderliter following graduation.

 

Kamden Farrar

Kamden also took three years worth of Carpentry classes at North Posey HS and was chosen to work on projects like a Habitat for Humanity house plus he worked on two off-site construction projects last year. Kamden has been working for Fulton Interior Contractors based in Evansville.  Kamden worked for them full-time last summer and has been working half days all school year as well.  Kamden intends to join the IKORCC in May upon graduation.

 

Lander Shelby

Lander took three years of classes in the Agricultural Mechanics program at North Posey HS.  Lander spent many nights and summers working on a local produce farm.  In August, Lander started as an intern with H & R Agripower in Poseyville, IN, and has been working half days all school year in their shop.  Lander is planning on attending Parkland College in Champaign, IL in addition to working with H & R Agripower.

 

Kolton Gardner

Kolton took three years of classes in the Agricultural Mechanics program and three years of Manufacturing classes and is in year one of Construction at North Posey HS.  Starting in January, Kolton began working half days for Blankenburger Bros Inc of Cynthiana, IN.  Kolton intends to apply to the Operator’s Local 181 when he graduates.
