Jobsite Report – Franklin Central

Franklin Township is a fast-growing community.  As we are approaching 4,000 students enrolled at Franklin Central High School, we looked for a way to better service our community as well as give the greatest opportunities to our students to succeed in life.

Seeing the vast need for people in the construction industry and the growing number of our students looking for not just a job but a career right after high school.  It was a no-brainer to join the Graduate on Saturday, Job Site on Monday movement.

At Franklin Central, we have created a construction pathway that allows students to experience the construction industry firsthand.  Our courses offer the ability to obtain graduation requirements while simultaneously providing students with the opportunities for certifications in OSHA 10, NCCER, and Dual College Credits through Ivy Tech.

The construction pathway at FCHS began in August 2022 with the Principles of Construction course.  In August of 2023, we will continue where Principles of Construction leaves off as we expand our curriculum and course offerings with classes in both Carpentry and Civil Construction.

Our goal at FCHS is to create a steady stream of hardworking, educated individuals ready and willing to Graduate on Saturday and be on the job site on Monday.
