2026 Teacher Training

Work IN Roads is training the next generation of civil construction educators to lead the Work IN Roads Civil Construction Pathway. During this week-long session in June, this year’s cohort will learn the basics of road construction from the ground up.

Throughout the week, teachers will visit job sites and mines, learn survey skills on the Statehouse lawn, tour asphalt and concrete plants, and meet contractors and industry experts to explore hands-on learning tools. They will see real projects, real crews and real careers in action.

TEACHER SPONSORSHIPS

You have asked how you can help. Here is the answer.

Sponsor a teacher for the week. Your sponsorship provides a $1,000 stipend for the teacher, plus hotel and transportation for the full program. We know teachers do not always get the support and recognition they deserve. We want this cohort to feel like valued partners in our industry.

Providing hotel and transportation lets us spend more time on site visits, in plants and in the field, and less time worrying about logistics.

Teacher sponsorships for 2026 are $2,500 each, and there are 12 sponsorships available. In the registration form, you can share your preferred local school district. We will work to connect teachers from that area with your company to help build a long-term relationship.

SPONSOR RECOGNITION

Sponsors will be recognized in digital and print promotions for this program. This includes the website, email promotions, social media posts on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, and on-site signage and table decor during the program.

More important, sponsors gain a direct connection with educators, and eventually with their students. These teachers will look to your company for future site visits, classroom speakers and real-world examples from the field. With one sponsorship, you are opening the door to long-term customer and talent opportunities.

The deadline to be included in printed materials is Monday, May 11.
